two RPG adventures that you should not miss... if you have never played

Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin return after a few years with two ports that can attract a few players and fans to the more RPG branch of the successful Capcom saga. I tell you everything you need to know in the following analysis.

Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin savages have appeared. The franchise of Capcom It continues to grow and reach more and more players. The proof is that the two most important spin-offs of the saga now land on current platforms.

While many are biting their nails with Monster Hunter Wilds for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, the wait until 2025 can be made a little more enjoyable with these two RPG installments that offer a very different approach to traditional action-packed hunts.

Monster Hunter Stories take the leap Nintendo 3DS to nintendo switch PS4 and PC with a remaster, while Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin lands on PS4 in the form of a port after passing through the hybrid console and PC at its launch in 2021.

How do both deliveries look? Well here we tell you everything in the analysis of Monster Hunter Stories and Stories 2 for PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. It's time to ride on!

Review of Monster Hunter Stories and Stories 2

I don't want to dwell too much on the entire plot and systems of both games, since at the time we were already able to see these two installments and you will be able to find their respective analysis in HobbyConsoleswhere we delve into what makes each adventure unique.

However, as a summary I will tell you that Monster Hunter Stories and Stories 2 are two spin-offs of the saga that leave aside the action role proposal to move on to the More traditional turn-based RPG, while they put the focus on narrative.

In these games we are not hunters, but riders, expert riders who have found a way to coexist with the monsters that all Monster Hunter fans know. Both plots revolve around a number of secondary characters and... of course, a very special Rathalos.

While is true that genre clichés abound Since each story lasts a little longer than necessary, the semi-open world they offer and how the essence of Monster Hunter is brought back from a new point of view makes up for some of its flaws.

Dreamlike landscapes full of color, unique villages and hostile environments await you in both games, but beyond a story that plays with the end of the world, the other great pillar of this saga is the turn-based combat, a rock-paper-scissors that works like a charm.

Attacking together with your monsties and with the classic weapons of the franchise using three different sets of movements, plus skills, more impressive final attacks and even with QTEs in between, makes each fight an experience of strategy and spectacle.

Nor have I forgotten another of the great hallmarks of this type of RPG. Stories orbits around the monster collecting. Here we don't have to exterminate in exchange for skins, but rather take them all through a complete breeding and egg system.

Especially the sequel shines in many areas, but now The original release exclusive to Nintendo 3DS so far offers more incentives to be enjoyed for the first time or replayed in case you already did it at the time.

All the new content and visual improvements for Monster Hunter Stories

Yes ok The PS4 port of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin barely presents any differences With the Nintendo Switch and PC versions, the one that does do so is the first installment, which we must consider as a remaster.

In terms of news for this first adventure we have a museum mode in which you can consult almost 200 conceptual artsdiscarded designs and more material related to the development of the game.

Although the most relevant thing is that Monster Hunter Stories returns with Full dubbing into English and Japanese (texts in Spanish). This helps the story become much more dynamic, removing the monotony and stale tone that today would weigh down the experience.

At a technical level and after playing in ROG Ally We have to say that everything has gone smoothly in its performance mode. 1080p resolution and stable 60 fps. We have felt it very fluid in general terms. Additionally, the loading screens have been slightly shortened, which is appreciated.

Nevertheless, the game as a remastering does not seek to go further and settles for getting the "correct" seal. The improvement in resolution, its textures or the lighting system is evident, but an extra effort to bring it a little closer to its successor would not have been bad.

Duration of Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2

If you were looking for long games with many hours, here you will get a double helping, since both spin-offs offer a lot of content. These RPGs do not disappoint and will give you dozens and dozens of hours in both cases.

On the one hand, Monster Hunter Stories takes about 30-35 hours to complete, but it is close to 100 if you are looking to get 100%. The same thing happens with Monster Hunter Stories 2, although this time there is even a little more included.

Overcome the main plot of Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin can easily take you 35-40 hours And if what you want is to complete the game without having anything left to do, get ready for more than 130 hours of gameplay.

Price and platforms

Monster Hunter Stories is priced at 29.99 euros in digital format on PS Store, eShop and Steam. You can also get the double pack with both games in physical format in different establishments and stores.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin can be found on PS4 at a price of 39.99 euros and 49.99 euros in a Deluxe edition that includes the Deluxe Kit. In addition, there is also the Monster Hunter Stories Collection pack that includes both games for 59.99 euros (also on Switch and PC).

Another equally enjoyable story.

Monster Hunter Stories and Stories 2 are two unique games within the famous Capcom sagawhich manage to transfer the essence of this to a format as recognizable as the RPG with turn-based combat to offer two great adventures.

If you have never played them, you will not see a better time to do so, but if you have already done so, there are no greater incentives to repeat them either. Perhaps the most tempting is the remastering of the first installment, given that almost eight years have passed since its release.

However, time and the release of the sequel with many improvements and polishes have made it this first game ages more than expected and the additions and technical implementations do not stand out to make it an essential.

However, I will insist, Monster Hunter Stories and Stories 2 are two great games that add color and life to the saga and that You shouldn't miss it if yours are more traditional RPGs and if you like sagas like Pokemon. No hunting... Enjoy the art of dressage classic.

tricks and new meta after the Viper Commandos war bonus and what weapons are worth unlocking

We talk to you about the three weapons that can be unlocked from the Viper Commando war bonus in Helldivers 2, although only one of them is essential.

When new weapons are included in titles like helldivers 2 There may be countless doubts about what the new Goals are and what parameters each of them has to take advantage of them.

With the arrival of the war bonus viper commands helldivers 2 we have a series of weapons that are more or less worth unlocking.

We are going to talk to you exactly about the three viper commandos war bonus weapons for Helldivers 2 so that you can get them from the first opportunity, and we already tell you that some of them are Meta.

Helldivers 2: tricks and new meta after the war bonus Viper Commandos and what weapons are worth unlocking

Tips and tricks to keep in mind

  • The behemoths have been upgraded in the update, and you could use the railgun, eagle strafing, or Gatlin orbital bombardment to take them out, including the flamethrower.
  • Likewise, you have to work as a team, always improving communication, between all your teammates, to be able to use the anti-tank rounds well and use the railgun to remove the armor from the behemoth's legs.
  • In addition, the flamethrower is perfect as an anti-titan weapon and the heavy machine gun is recommended due to its greater benefit after the update.
  • However, the heavy machine gun has high damage and has improved reload speed, making it powerful against robots.
  • The purifying weapon's potential is also recommended, although you need to make a small damage buff for it to be effective.
  • It is advisable to bot missions if no one else brings a grenade launcher, it is good to equip one because you can end up taking out groups of enemies quickly.
  • On the other hand, and not to be missed, the grenade gun has also been improved after the latest patch.

New weapons to unlock

AR-23A Liberator Carbine

The AR-23A Liberator Carbine is a compact version of the Liberator and is designed for maximum versatility.

It has a higher rate of fire at the cost of greater dispersion. In parameters it has a damage of 60, capacity of 45, recoil 26, and firing speed of 920.

It comes with a flashlight and three firing speed options and the bad thing is that you can't change the scope zoom.

It has up to seven magazines, which gives a total of 315 shots. It is good for smaller enemy types, but performs less well with medium and large ones.

The truth is that it looks more like an SMG than an assault rifle with a very fast rate of fire. It's not that it is a bad weapon, but I consider it to be below other assault rifles.

SG-22 Bushwhacker Secondary Shotgun

The secondary shotgun and you can even configure it to fire all three barrels at the same time. As parameters damage 405, capacity 3 and recoil 170.

It is ideal against automatons. Obviously, you should switch to three-shot mode for large enemies, and not use it for small ones.

This is a secondary weapon, ideal for when you run out of ammo on your main weapon.

K-2 knife

Finally, we go with the throwing knife, which has no statistics or absolutely any special traits, and the worst of all is that it is not very worth it.

You also won't be able to pick up knives once they're on the ground or from dead enemies, so it doesn't make much sense. On top of that, it takes away a slot for grenades, so we only recommend it to try it out and little else.

It is also not stealthy as the description suggests, because all enemies are alerted when used.

In this way, the three weapons that are most worth the viper commandos war bonus are also nothing out of this world compared to the ones we already have.

Assassin's Creed Shadows receives massive criticism from Japanese players

Assassin's Creed Shadows has offered a new look at the locations that we can visit in the game. The beautifully portrayed feudal Japan looks spectacular, but it has also generated critical opinions among Japanese players.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is preparing for launch in PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 12. After offering a first look at the gameplay in the past Ubisoft Forwardthe company has continued to expand the information.

In a teaser in YoutubeUbisoft has allowed fans and future players to take a deeper look the landscapes and environments that we can explore in this Assassin's Creed Shadows. They all look extremely good, but this teaser has caused another unexpected effect.

The comments section has been filled with... comments (forgive the redundancy) very critical of the game by Japanese users. The vast majority of these comments charge against Yasuke and Ubisoft's choice to make this character one of the protagonists.

The Japanese charge against Assassin's Creed Shadows

The drift of the comments is the same as what we have been seeing for a few weeks, when the game was presented. Japanese gamers call Ubisoft racist for having "belittled" Japan by choosing a foreign character.

"This game makes people abroad have a big misunderstanding about Japanese history. Please don't involve Japan in cultural politics anymore."

"Even if I comment, political correctness believers abroad attack me, but I learned how Asians are discriminated against all over the world. I learned a lot, thank you."

"$7 million could have done enough historical research...you've made the activists happy, not the players."

"In this play, Yasuke is described as a hero, but a hero is someone who has accomplished something, so what does a hero accomplish? The Japanese are killed in various ways. If it were me, I wouldn't consider a black man a hero. who tramples on the heads of his fellow citizens."

The truth is that this was not criticized with Nioh for example, a Japanese game in which an Irish character was used... Be that as it may, the environments of Assassin's Creed Shadows suggest that the game will be as beautiful as Ghost of Tsushima.

The most romantic fuedal Japan will be seen again. And if what you want is to learn more about the game, do not hesitate to take a look at our Impressions of Assassin's Creed Shadows after seeing more gameplay behind closed doors.

Analysis of Nitro Deck+, the accessory that improves control in portable mode and incorporates more buttons and functions, including dock mode
